Diagnostic Imaging With Care

Your doctor has requested that you obtain diagnostic imaging at your local hospital, and Alliance HealthCare Radiology will be the service provider administering your imaging care during this visit.

Diagnostic imaging, also referred to as medical imaging, is non-invasive—meaning medical professionals can look inside your body without surgery. Doctors can see how your organs are functioning, joints are moving, treatments are working and much more with these exams. It is important that you keep our scheduled diagnostic imaging visit so you can continue on your health-related care journey by receiving the imaging test your doctor has ordered.

Our First Priority is Safety

Together with our hospital partner, Alliance HealthCare Radiology is committed to the safety and well-being of our patients and staff. In preparation for your imaging exam, our team is adhering to strict cleaning and sanitation protocols using CDC recommended cleaning products and disinfectants appropriately between patients. We have allowed for additional time in our schedule to allow for extra attention to detail.

We are making efforts to enforce social distancing (i.e., keeping six feet of space or more between people) whenever possible. We do this by limiting the number of people in our waiting rooms and limiting close proximity between patients and staff. However, your imaging exam will require close distance and/or physical contact with a clinical staff member. Our staff are using the CDC-recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including facemasks, and are screened each day as well for illness.

Additionally, for your safety, we are asking the following from you:
  • Please wear a face covering when you arrive and throughout your appointment. We are requiring all patients and our care team to do so! Acceptable face coverings include homemade masks, cloth masks, medical masks or cloth coverings such as a bandana. Your face covering should fit snugly but comfortably against the sides of your face, covering both your nose and mouth.
  • Please practice social distancing during your visit to our site of care. This means six feet of space between you and others wherever possible.
  • Upon arrival, we'll ask you to complete a very short COVID-19 screening questionnaire and you may have your temperature checked.
  • Please ask anyone accompanying you to wait in the car if possible. We are limiting guests in our facility to only the patient to help assure safety for all patients and team members. In the event you require assistance, such as an interpreter or due to mobility issues, please let our scheduling team know in advance of your visit. Support will be limited to one individual, who will also be screened and asked to follow all guidelines.

The Alliance COVID-19 Task Force: National Resources for Local Teams

Each of our sites of care is focused on our local community and hospital – yet connected to the one of the country's largest medical imaging care networks. In times like these, that Alliance network is able to provide us with additional supplies, resources, information and best practices as we serve our patients.

  • The national Alliance COVID-19 Task Force, for example, has helped us stay abreast of fast-changing CDC and public health guidelines related to coronavirus, and supported us as we put related clinical processes in place to assure your safety when you visit our site of care.
  • The national Alliance supply team helps our care teams across the country responsibly source, secure and properly use Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE"), keeping both you and our team members safe on the front lines of healthcare.
  • The Alliance resource team helps us prepare and provide our referring providers, patients and partners with up-to-date information and communications as we all navigate the pandemic together.

Day by day – and especially in these times of change and uncertainty – Alliance helps us stay focused on what’s most important: the exceptional care of each individual patient, right here in our community.

We are Following Strict Safety Protocols

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has provided guidance and critical objectives for U.S. healthcare facilities, including appropriate hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and social distancing. In addition to emphasizing and practicing the CDC guidance for healthcare personnel, we have a comprehensive cleaning control policy and standard process to mitigate the risk of transmission of infectious disease, including COVID-19.

  • Pre-Screening, Rescheduling and Site Arrival

In addition to emphasizing and practicing the CDC guidance for healthcare personnel, we have implemented a COVID-19 pre-screening process for patients to mitigate the risk of transmission of COVID-19.

Patients are screened by our team before their appointment with us:

    • During scheduling or rescheduling of the patient’s exam;
    • Prior to their appointment by phone while they are preregistering for their exam; and
    • When they arrive at our facility
  • Patients with scheduled exams

If you were not displaying symptoms at the time of scheduling your appointment, but have since begun to experience symptoms of COVID-19 (including a fever, cough or other respiratory symptoms, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing), have been exposed to or are caring for an individual who is positive for COVID-19, or have traveled from a U.S. area of concern or country of concern (as currently defined by the CDC) within the past 14 days, please call us at (866) 533-4296 to speak with our scheduling team. If you are determined to be in an at-risk category, we will work with you to reschedule your appointment appropriately. In addition, call your referring provider for direction regarding your current symptoms.

The COVID-19 pandemic across the U.S. continues to change. We are dedicated to keeping you informed.

Together with our hospital partner, Alliance HealthCare Radiology is committed to the safety and well-being of our patients and staff. Thank you for your understanding and support as we remain committed to our mission to provide the highest quality health care to the communities we serve.

Social Distancing

Avoid close contact with others by giving yourself about six feet of space whenever possible/practical, to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19 disease.

Avoid Touching Face

Try to avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

Keep Hands Clean

Clean your hands often. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizers or wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

The Use of Face Coverings

The CDC recommends wearing a face mask or cover when you are out in public where you will be near other individuals. If you do not have a face mask or cover, visit this link to learn the recommendations from the CDC and how a cloth mask can be tailored.

Have A Cough or Cold?

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, not your hand. Throw the tissue in the trash and immediately wash your hands.

Clean Surfaces

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, using a cleaning spray or wipe.

Feeling Sick?

Stay home when you’re sick. If you believe you’ve been exposed to someone with COVID-19, even if you are not showing symptoms, please stay home and contact your primary care physician.
